Concert Restoration Progress
New power supply and cathode bypass caps. (Gotta just love the early '60s fiber
boards and
cloth wire)
New grid, screen resistors, new power cord and cleaned chassis.
Alive and healthy on the bench. New Jensen re-issue C10Q's.
What's left to do on the Concert:
completely clean chassis
complete electrolytic cap job
install new grid and screen resistors
install new standby switch
install new power cord
remove front and rear faceplates and clean
clean knobs
tighten tube sockets and lube pots and jacks
install new tubes, burn in and dc/ac test
install new Jensen re-issue C10Q's
final test and voicing
Reverb Tank Initial Condition
Original caps needing replacement.
Smoky chassis and more electrolytic caps needing replacement.
Reverb Tank Restoration Progress
New floating reverb springs, spring dampening foam and lock mounted tank.
Cleaned chassis, new power supply and cathode bypass electrolytic cap and power
cord.
In test and re-assembled unit.
What's left to do on the Reverb Tank:
completely clean chassis
complete electrolytic cap job (waiting for
one more cap)
replace power cord
tighten tube sockets and lube pots and jacks
install new tubes, burn in and dc/ac test
remount floating/locking reverb pan
final test and voicing
