Mark's 1965 Princeton In Progress Page
10/26/02
Mark, a local resident of Oregon, brought me this really pristine 1965 Princeton which was purchased in Florida by his father in 1965. The amp is considered a "family heirloom" and survived hurricane Donna which hit the Florida coast in 1966. We are going to replace as little as possible to get this amp back to a safe and strong electrical condition while preserving the original legendary tone.
Restoration Progress
Cleaned chassis, new FP can cap, power cord, tubes and tube claws. New cathode
caps.
New on/off switch, power cord and power resistors. New Jensen C10Q.
In test.
Completed Restoration
A final pic of Mark's '65 Princeton next to my '66 Mustang. A white barrel '64
Princeton was my 1st Fender amp before I traded up to a '66 Deluxe Reverb which
is long gone now. Sure glad I kept the Mustang!
