Dan's Vibroclone In Progress Page
06/04/02
This Vibroclone project is going to use a '71 BMR chassis, which I will supply along with the reverb tank, bag and new braided reverb cables. Dan has already purchased a black tolex with aged grill cloth cabinet and a rotated 8 ohm JBL D130F speaker. I will restore the amp, convert to blackface spec's and voice it to a vibroclone. Dan wants to use a Vibroverb faceplate, so I will need to remove the midrange control and slide the intensity, speed, reverb and bass pots over. We will be using a new production Twin Reverb output tranny. Dan also wants the sole control mod.
Initial Condition
Again, another smoky chassis and caps needing replacement.
Completely original fiber board and components with no hacks.
Original faceplate and Dan's new cab and JBL D130F.
Restoration and Conversion Progress
New power supply caps. New Twin Reverb OPT and cleaned chassis.
Blackface conversion, new tone and coupling caps.
Midrange pot removal. New standby, on/off switches, screen and grid resistors

Alive on the bench.
